Ceiling speakers, also known as roof speakers. This kind of speaker is mainly installed on the ceiling and is very suitable for playing background music in exhibitions, squares, meeting rooms, restaurants, dance halls and schools. In terms of the shape of the speakers, the common ceiling speakers are generally round. It can not only save space, decorate the ceiling, but also use the ceiling to achieve a sound insulation effect, and even solve the problems of sound diffraction and box vibration.
The steps to install ceiling speaker as following:
Step one: Ceiling speaker hole punching
The installation of ceiling speakers in different installation scenarios requires the use of special hole punchers. The construction process does not damage the ceiling too much, especially the plaster ceiling. The diameter of the punching is in accordance with the punching size specified by the ceiling speakers. In actual construction, it can be slightly larger by 1/2 cm, which will make installation and removal easier.
The location of the hole punching of the ceiling speakers should take into consideration the installation locations of peripheral lamps, smoke detectors, air conditioners and other equipment to avoid overlapping locations. The installation spacing between ceiling speakers should follow industry rules: the spacing between every two ceiling speakers is twice the distance between the speakers and the ground. Such an installation can meet the uniformity of the sound played by the ceiling speakers for the audience. For gypsum board punching, remember to have professionals to do that with professional hole puncher!
Step two: Ceiling speaker wiring
The wiring of ceiling speakers should first be clear whether to run the open wire or the wiring slot. The open wire can be matched with the cable clamp and the cable tie, which is simple and not messy. If you're more focus on appearance, you can use wiring slot (such as PVC material wiring pipe or wiring slot), and the speaker wire is installed inside the slot, so that the appearance doesn't seem contradictory.
When doing the wiring, you should pay attention to that the speaker cable is weak current and should be kept away from the surrounding strong current (AC220V) to avoid interference.
After the wiring is completed, reserve the wire to connect to the speakers. Remember to wire first and install the speakers afterwards. Don't mess up the order.
Step three: Ceiling speaker installation
After the wiring is completed, install one or two speakers first, then connect the amplifier to test whether there are any problems with the wiring and equipment. Then install the speakers one by one, complete the entire audio system debugging finally!
